🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Several blackberry bushes along the path going through the large forest near Clifton Moss. Sprout fruit in late summer.
To access the path, just go the the section of pathway on the north side of the footbridge over the M60, there is a small path leading east into the forest (not the path leading up over the north edge of the forest).
