🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Location is approximate, but if you're on the trail, when you see a large, open field to your left, with a large metal building next to it (also on the left), look for a small ditch. I found tons of blackberries in this small ditch!
