American persimmon

📍 240A Gooch Dr, Williamsburg, VA 23186, USA
American persimmon Public
🗓 Season: October · November · December
🔍 When is it ripe?
Must be fully ripe (very soft, almost jelly-like) before eating. Harvest after first frost or when naturally falling. Dark orange to purple when ready. Rich, caramel-sweet flavour.
Located near the stairs at the bend of the path around the Crim Dell. Tree is on the inside of the curve, opposite of the lamp post. Tree is too tall to pick fruit from its branches, but fallen fruit can be gathered on the edge of the path on the side closest to the Crim Dell. Latitude and longitude is approximate. I'm unsure of season, but as of 2022, fruit has started falling in late September.
