🔍 When is it ripe?
The green husk splits into four sections and turns brown when ripe. Shake branches or wait for fall. Cure in a cool, dry place for 2–3 weeks. Kernels should be full and not shrivelled.
Right along the banks of Towne Lake, there are at least 2 or 3 pecan trees. There is also at least one along the trails leading up to the lake from Park Central Drive.
