🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Park hosts a large wall of brambles which fruit many blackberries during the summer months. I filled up many boxes last summer and made a great pie with them. Seen myself and several others pick from here without any issues.
