🔍 When is it ripe?
Clusters of orange-yellow fruit; ripe when fully orange with no green, yields to gentle pressure, and comes off the stem with a slight tug. Very sweet and aromatic when right — mealy if overripe. Short shelf life after picking.
An approximately 10-year-old loquat tree grown from seed, has begun to bear fruit in the spring of 2022 fo which a limited amount is finally ripening as of April 11.
