Young Bur oak tree. Large output of nuts. No squirrels or other animals can reach it, as it is in the middle of a parking lot; aside from the ones we gather, they all get crushed by peoples' cars. Nut and fruit trees are hard to spread due to needing ample to time to grow to a fruiting age; most get mowed or weeded before they get a chance. However, the effort is really worth it to find safe spots for them, for the trees, the wildlife that benefit from them and for people too....
