🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
Serviceberries are kind of like blueberries. This sits in front of the Friends Meeting House Church on A St. The pastor there told me about it but you should check with them if it is ok to take some.
