🔍 When is it ripe?
Berries fully coloured and slightly soft. Stem where it joins the bunch turns woody and brown. Seeds easily visible inside. Sweet throughout when fully ripe — taste from different parts of the cluster as they ripen unevenly. Grapes do not continue ripening after harvest.
A set of around 25 grapevines in Gezer Park that produce in August. As of 2018, this set of vines was available to the public, but it is probably best to confirm. We intentionally did not spray the vines with any chemicals so that people could eat the grapes.
