Banana (Musa acuminata)

Banana (Musa acuminata) Public
It is a bit hard to access this source, but that means more fruit! This is a little patch of trees. You can recognize them by their leaves. To reach them go down the normal entry, and then to the closed off lagoon. From there walk along the side of the lagoo through the grass (watch out for snakes) and to the group of trees at the bottom of the slope. Just walk up to them and cut off a nice big bunch. They may look small, but that is just the variety. We call them sugar baby or lady finger. Usually the bunches are green, so just hang them up in a shaded place until they yellow. Eat as fast as possible, they go off very quickly. Bananas are a great foraging food as they pop up anywhere and you can practically live off them. Enjoy, have a good harvest.
