🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, orange to yellow fruits in large bunches near the base of fronds. Ripe when fully orange and falls freely. Flavour is apricot and pineapple; very high in pectin — excellent jelly. Short window in summer.
In a neighborhood park. Juicy and delicious and very tangy and sweet like a plum with Pina colada flavor. They fall on the ground when ripe and have beautiful radiant colors. Get them before the beetles. I love these and so do they
