🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Please adjust the exact position of the pin if you go there, it's been a while and I only remember that it was by this side of the road, between the 2 roundabouts. Fruits were tart, more suitable for cooking.
