🔍 When is it ripe?
Himalayan blackberry: Large, fully black berries. Same cues as common blackberry: comes free easily, no red core, dull rather than shiny. Vigorous canes — protect arms when harvesting.
Thimbleberry: Flat, dome-shaped, brilliant red berries. Very delicate — falls apart when fully ripe. Eat on the spot; does not travel. Ripe when uniformly red and separates without effort.
All through the trails of bauldy from the top of beau pre golf course to sutter road berriea can be picked for miles from late may until late september early october
