Onion

Onion
Bring a spade shovel with which to dig! Tiny wild onions like to grow close to water in the spring time. Just walk through Roy G park during spring in April and look for the white onion blooms. When onions grow, they form blooms which then form a sort of "onion fruit" or seed which then drops into the ground and lays dormant until the season is right to grow again. Be sure the pick the onions at the top before the "seeds" fall off and also dig out the root. The seeds, roots, leaves and stalk are all edible and taste like onion.
