🔍 When is it ripe?
Unlike apples, pears ripen from the inside out. Harvest when the skin colour lightens and the fruit separates with a gentle upward twist. Ripen off the tree at room temperature — leave on a counter until the neck yields to thumb pressure.
Two pear trees - not sure exact type. On property of Sundering Town Homes, which is where I live. My family picks them and uses them for pear jelly, but many more ripen than we can harvest.
