Turkish hazel

📍 6 Grosvenor Pl, Rathmines, Dublin 6, D06 DX94, Ireland
Turkish hazel Public
🗓 Season: September · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Similar to common hazel; husks form a distinctive fringed cluster. Ripe when husks brown and nuts fall. Good flavour.
These Turkish Hazelnuts are running the entire way down from the Spar at the top of the road down on either side. There are 19 running down on North side of the road, and 29 running down the South side of the road. They're not delicious but plentiful and fine to taste.
