On the East Side of West Side avenue from Hall Avenue to Washington street, the train tracks were lowered into a depression locally called "The Ditch". There are burdock, broad leaved and narrow leaved plantain, dandelion, milkweed, and at the bottom of the hill is a rain water murkey long pond paralleling the railroad tracks where bullfrogs breed.
