Skin turns from green to yellow-green to yellow; flesh yields to gentle pressure and a sweet, tropical fragrance develops. Pink-fleshed varieties show colour through translucent skin. Harvest promptly — overripe quickly.
There are four or five guava trees at this location. Take care this is a very busy road without any protection for pedestrians if you want to access the roadside. The wildlife are all over these trees and pickings for Human foragers is slim
