🔍 When is it ripe?
Turns red, yellow, or purple depending on variety; flesh gives slightly under thumb pressure. Taste-test — ripe ones are sweet-tart with little astringency. Drops easily from stem when gently twisted.
There are several fruiting plum trees here, on public land, some of which are privately tended. The trees further outside the boundary are the best to harvest from.
