🔍 When is it ripe?
Classic Bartlett: skin turns yellow-green from green. Harvest when the neck near the stem gives to light pressure. Ripens off the tree in 4–7 days at room temperature.
This is a healthy Bartlett Pear tree that has reliably produced fruit every year for the past 5 years. It is located in the front yard and is open to all foragers although this year (2017) we had a "microburst" that knocked all of the fruit off.
