🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red, sticky, wine-flavoured. Ripe when dark red and separates easily from the stem. Good raw or for making wine and jam.
The forest trail up the hill above union brewery is lined with wineberry thickets. It's invasive but also bears good edible fruit. Ripens in June and July
The only invasive species here is this attitude. I LOVE THIS PLANT. WE NEED TO SPREAD MORE AND MORE OF IT.
