🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red and glossy; stem pulls cleanly. Taste is the best test — sweet and juicy when ripe, still astringent if picked too early.
Bring a ladder. Tall tree, with yellow cherries. Not sure if it belongs to the Riversprings strata or the school. Nobody ever picks them. From Shaugnessy, turn right into the schools' (Coquitlam River Elementary) parking where the park is. The tree is located to the left of the kids play area, about 20-30 metres from the parking lot.
