📍 marblemount, wa
Thimbleberry Public
🗓 Season: June · July · August
🔍 When is it ripe?
Flat, dome-shaped, brilliant red berries. Very delicate — falls apart when fully ripe. Eat on the spot; does not travel. Ripe when uniformly red and separates without effort.
Thimbleberries grow right in front of the North Cascades National Park Wilderness Information Center in Marblemount, and all along the side of Ranger Station Rd.
