🔍 When is it ripe?
Uniformly red with no white or green at the tip or shoulder. Strong strawberry fragrance even from a distance. Cap leaves (calyx) are fresh and green. Completely red flesh inside when cut. Wild strawberries are smaller but more intensely flavoured.
On the right-hand slope of the road, just before the wooden stairs leading down to the right of the highway, some wild strawberry plants can be found. Very small but sweet and good!
