Deep purple-black; pulls free from the hollow centre. Strongly flavoured. Picks over about two weeks — check every couple of days.
Sparse bushes all along the path alongside the river. They tend to fruit in mid to late July. They are probably technically private but there’s more than anybody could pick and it’s on UR land
