🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
In the front parking lot of Orchard Park Secondary school is an apple tree. Talked to the VP, she'd love it people would come and take them away as they are a health and safety hazard when they fall and rot and the kids slip on them. VERY small but tasty!
