🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep blue-purple with a silvery bloom; stem scar (not stem) at the top. Taste is the best test — a truly ripe blueberry is sweet and has no pink flesh inside. Let the cluster go fully blue before picking the whole thing.
If you swim to the right of the entrance/small beach area, you can access some nice blueberry bushes. Don’t try to access through the woods because that area is extremely sensitive to erosion and there’s no trail access. Fortunately, it’s a great place to swim during blueberry season!
