🗓 Season: August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red olive-shaped berries. Very sour when first red — wait until they turn deep red and fall freely or can be shaken off. High in vitamin C. Good for jam, wine, and sauce.
The sweetest trees are just outside of Eckhart Hall, but there are trees lining the whole northeastern side of the quad. Private property, but more or less legally accessable.
