🗓 Season: June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
Located in Humboldt Park on the east side. Take the Hirsch path by the tennis courts towards the pond (heading west, toward Sacramento) Quite a few large, healthy trees along the path.
