🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Big spread of blackberries cover this area and also behind the Txdot property. One of the few spots that they can grow unchecked! Thinking about planting some other species in the area, maybe some mulberry or pecan trees....
