🔍 When is it ripe?
Round, strawberry-textured red or orange fruit. Flowers and last year's fruit ripen simultaneously. Ripe when deep red and very soft; gritty texture and mild sweet flavour. Good for jam and brandy. Overripe fruit ferments on the tree — slightly intoxicating.
4 off. Strawberry Trees all bearing ripe and unripe fruit, blossoms open and closed at the one time. mature trees which are approx 2.5m tall and easy to access. not an abundant crop
