🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep blue-purple with a silvery bloom; stem scar (not stem) at the top. Taste is the best test — a truly ripe blueberry is sweet and has no pink flesh inside. Let the cluster go fully blue before picking the whole thing.
Blueberries noticed and accessible from the lake. Not sure how close the hiking trails on the west side of the lake come to these plants.
Update from three years later and in the right month: swam across the lake to get here and these were sooo good!
