🔍 When is it ripe?
Unripe: small, hard, very tart (good for cooking). Ripe: translucent, slightly soft, and sweet — variety colour is red, yellow, or green. Ripe gooseberries come off the stalk easily and have a sweet aroma.
Sometimes, the gooseberry trees in our apartment complex are fully laden with fruits. I'd like to share them when that happens. Noone else in the apartment actually eat them! Good for you and me :)
