🔍 When is it ripe?
Clusters of orange-yellow fruit; ripe when fully orange with no green, yields to gentle pressure, and comes off the stem with a slight tug. Very sweet and aromatic when right — mealy if overripe. Short shelf life after picking.
Loquat tree in front garden, fruits in Autumn. Often quite high, please knock to let us know if you want to borrow the ladder. Otherwise help yourself and feel free to leave trades of other produce on the front porch. Thanks!
