🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
There is a mature apple tree growing between the roadway and the face of the old blue warehouse (known as the Nimco Building) on the North side of the road. The fruit is plentiful and ripe in the late summer.
