🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Apple tree located in the courtyard of the Sherman Arms apartment building. Fenced off. Tall tree, so you'd probably want to contact the property owner for access (Alden Brown) and bring a ladder. Have not tasted.
