Great hawk wing with big 'wings' that fruits over a long season because it is inside of a cavity on a mature cottonwood so stays cool/shady. There is an active geocache box in the cavity - if you've found this, or wanna look it up, the mushroom is behind it in the same hole. Pretty unmistakable mushroom - nothing looks like it or smells like it (distinct watermelon rind smell). Good to saute and eat when young and tender, tough and too rubbery when old. Get this one in spring or fall, after some wet weather.
