📍 6 Aleppo Pl, Cranbourne VIC 3977, Australia
Rosemary Public
🗓 Season: January · February · March · April · May · June · July · August · September · October · November · December
🔍 When is it ripe?
Evergreen herb — harvest sprigs year-round. Young, bright green shoot tips have the most flavour. Harvest in the morning after dew dries. Flowers (blue-purple) appear spring through early summer and are edible as a garnish.
A smaller patch of prostrate Rosemary grows right outside the daycare center when you enter the parking lot. It's spilled over onto the concrete and grating there, and is quite healthy. Noticed it growing there about 6 months ago and no one has trimmed or sprayed it that I know of. Just use care, as it is rigbt against the children's playground area. I go there Saturdays at 11am and it's always sans children, this may be due to Covid and may change. Not sure if it's considered public, but since it's a parking lot, no one pays me any attention.
