🔍 When is it ripe?
Small apples ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange by variety. Very tart raw but excellent for jelly and cider. Ripe when the colour is fully developed and the fruit lifts off with a gentle twist.
about 4-5 "Dolgo" crab apples mixed in with some other crab apples. Dolgos are great for jelly and ok for wine/cider. They get sweeter as they soften.
