Olive

📍 41 High St, Queanbeyan East NSW 2620, Australia
Olive Public
🗓 Season: October · November · December
🔍 When is it ripe?
Harvest time depends on intended use: green olives (October, firm, very bitter — require curing); turning olives (November, red-purple, half-ripe — for oil or eating); black olives (December, fully ripe, shrivelling — sweeter, for oil). All must be cured before eating — never eat straight from the tree.
Awesome shiny black round olives on this tree which is located on the nature strip. Some black soot on this tree but most fruit is great. High yield. Ripe in early June. There is also a HUGE olive tree in the front corner yard of this house which hangs over the fence a bit. Very high yield on that tree also. Looks like the same type of olive.
