🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
There are plenty of black raspberry plants to choose from, which may require you to turn down a little deeper into the bush, so leggings might be a good idea. The brambles are thorny of course. Some plants have a lot others are sparse. But with about 15 or so bushes there there should be a good amount. Every 3 to 4 days as they continue to ripen.
