Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
A very young tree. Please be mindful of picking every last one of them. The owners of that property have young kids that love to walk over and pick them too. We'd love to give back and invite your young ones to eat healthy and share in our bounty. :-)
