🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
lots of buses all up and down this area; if you choose to go through the fence be careful of the drop off to the railroad tracks, also be aware folk do live in the area - be respectful of any camps you come across
