🔍 When is it ripe?
Golden-orange colour all over; red blush is fine but green means unripe. Gives slightly under thumb pressure and separates cleanly from the pit. Sweet, floral aroma. Short window — harvest daily once they start colouring.
There are a couple of Apricot trees in the back of my child's elementary school. They are fairly tall but can get to some of the lower branches or can grab the unsmashed ones off the ground or even bring a ladder like I did.
Note it is at an elementary school so you'll need to go after school hours.
