🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark purple-black variety. Ripe when the skin is very dark, fruit droops, and feels soft throughout. Very sweet — harvest promptly as they attract wasps and birds.
Feb 2026: still here, but need to be stealthy as it is right on their house. Not ripe at the moment
