Foxtail palm
Some sources say that the foxtail palm fruit is poisonous, but this is incorrect -- it is only the seed that is poisonous.
On the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley campus. The tree is in the courtyard to the north of the fountain. I don't know the University's policies about picking.
