Black raspberry

📍 5 A Lewis St, Perth, ON K7H 1M6, Canada
Black raspberry Public
🗓 Season: June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
The size/amount of the bushes vary year by year, but they’re easily accessible. Stewart is a public park, and the bushes are on the park side of the fence that marks off private property. The berries are of medium size and my sister and I have spent many a Stewart Park Fesival gorging ourselves on these berries. I don’t think many people know they’re there or I’m sure they’d be gone more quickly. (PS the harvesting dates are as accurate as they can be - it depends on the weather really)
