🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Several good, sweet apple tree with heavy fruit on teh north side of the alsea highway by the cemetery, and all along the road west of it. Right off the road, not too hard to reach. Not crabapples, APPLES.
