Japanese Apricot, Chinese Plum or Ume is an ornamental/edible apricot like fruit. This tree has characteristic pink flowers in winter and very twisty trunk. Located in front of Depoalo hall, it also has a metal ID sign. Japanese apricot can be sour/bitter when fresh but traditional pickled (Umeboshi) or made into liquor (Umeshu).
