🫐
White mulberry
📍 10100 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740, USA
🗓 Season: May · June · July
🔍 When is it ripe?
White to pale pink or lavender when ripe. Very sweet and mild. Falls from the tree when ripe — spread a sheet below and shake. Extremely delicate; eat within hours. Ripe berries stain less than black mulberry but deteriorate even faster.
Tree is right at the end of road just before going inside parking lot.
Fruit color is black when ripe. Don't pick red berries because they are unripe.
Fruit edible raw or cooked, taste delicious.
Harvest by picking or laying out a mat and shaking the tree. Careful since cars drive around.
Season peaks in the middle of June.
